Crossing the Alps, we strongly believe that it is a once in a lifetime experience.
We cross following parts of the Via Claudia Augusta, an ancient Roman road, which linked the valley of the Po River with Rhaetia (modern Southern Germany) across the Alps. It is the easiest way to cross them but it is still a great achievement and you will cross 4 countries! Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Italy.
The stages are of moderate climbing apart from one, the crossing to Italy on day 2. More info in the day by day section below.
The route follows cycling paths and minor roads.
